It’s that time of year again: the kids are back at school, the leaves are starting to fall and Apple have just announced the new iPhone. You’ll have to been on another planet (or maybe on a digital detox) to have not noticed the big launch yesterday.

After many months of speculation and a few leaks the rabbit is out of the hat. The keynote speech started with Tim Cook in the car with British comedian and late night host, James Corden doing his trademark carpool karaoke. They were joined by none other than Pharrell. On paper it sounds like it couldn’t have had a cooler kick off.

Several impressive facts and lots of clapping later Tim Cook gets down to business revealing the new iPhone 7 will have some new features amongst them: water resistant, longer lasting battery, 2 cameras, no headphone jack (airpods instead)….

Will this iPhone keep the competition at bay? Well only time will tell.
