‘Tis the season for dinner party planning and spending a little more time indoors tucking into hearty grub. To help you prep for those festive affairs and end-of-year gatherings, we’ve compiled a list of the items that help to make a dinner party that little bit more special. Here’s what we suggest:

  1. What’s a pudding if it’s not served up in a beautiful dish? (Probably still delicious, really).
Fill these bowls with your dessert triumphs (or fails) to knock the socks off your guests.
  2. Enhance your recipes with a generous dollop of good-quality oil. This macadamia oil will do the job nicely. Here’s how to use it.
  3. Seek inspiration for your dinner party dishes from a great cookbook, like this one. You can also check out our dinner party menu.
  4. Doing things the old fashioned way? Make pasta from scratch with this classic and clever Italian gadget.
  5. Presentation is key. Set your table with vintage cutlery for a fancier feel. We adore this set.
