If you love fashion, the ‘Paris’ style, and have an affection for colouring books, then take a look at Parisian Street Style. This effortlessly sophisticated book and its stylish layout is indicative of the fact that its creator, Zoé de las Cases, is an illustrator and artistic director of a Paris Creative Agency.

What is it all about?

This isn’t the first of Zoe’s offerings to the world of adult colouring, but it is one of my favourites and I think possibly her most successful, as the subject matter really lends itself to the assured, quick-sketch feel of her illustrations.

Parisian Street Style Colouring Book

The book sees Zoe inviting us to join her on a wander through the streets of Paris during Fashion Week. However, her mission is not to capture the Paris catwalks, but rather embrace some people watching and unearth some true Parisian chic; those seemingly effortless ensembles you see drifting through Le Marias, or up by Canal Saint-Martin.

Is it worth colouring?

Absolutely, this is a classy, sassy, quality colouring book and well worth investing in, especially if fashion and colouring is your thing.

In terms of user experience, it’ a good sized book for colouring and the paper is excellent quality. The tight binding is a touch unforgiving at first but soon flexes, so in practical terms the scene is set for a relaxed colouring experience.

As for content, the variety and choice is impressive. If your colouring desire is for full-on pattern, there are multiple full page spreads. If you prefer a more atmospheric fix, then a number of street scenes and shop fronts will fit the bill. If you crave to colour a page of perfume bottles, or skirts, or hairstyles, or the contents of your bathroom cabinet or a giant pair of floral pants? Well get those pencils sharpened, because you can.

Each page exudes Paris cool, and the line drawings have an immediacy about them which makes the chic Paris street style feel instantly accessible and entirely unthreatening. There’s also the added bonus that you get the feeling Zoé isn’t going to mind if you don’t keep within the lines!
