Journalist, copy writer and translator Sarah Moroz writes about her passion – culture and the arts. She shares her top seven places to get her ‘culture fix’ in Paris:

1. Fondation Henri Cartier Bresson

This is a small venue with beautiful photography exhibitions. They also have great talks from time to time. A real pearl.

2. Les Douches La Galerie

A former bathhouse, the building is cool and the gallerist Françoise is as nice as her taste is impressive. Often championing under-appreciated foreign photographers, Les Douches introduces them to a French audience.

3. Jeu de Paume

This gallery hosts ambitious exhibitions that highlight the history of photography and spotlight forgotten female art-world powerhouses, like Germaine Krull and Florence Henri.

4. Le Bal

Experimental and surprising, this venue celebrates weird photography histories, young photographers, and documentary photography. The exhibition Burden Of Proof: The Construction Of Visual Evidence was a must see. Le Bal Café is great as well, and their bookstore has a beautiful selection of tomes.

5. Le Arts Décoratifs

Exhibitions about toys, jewellery, art, graphic design, and fashion, all done with great imagination and often pulling from their incredible collections.

6. Palais Galliera

An elegant fashion history hub, helmed by the elegant curator and historian Olivier Saillard. Be sure to loiter in the garden on a nice day.
