If you’re in search of a quick and easy breakfast, or a sweet and tart afternoon fix, this easy peasy recipe will satisfy both requirements. All you need is a grapefruit and a kitchen blowtorch (or grill/broiler).

1 Grapefruit

2 tbsp caster sugar

Cut the grapefruit in half. Dab both halves with a paper towel to absorb some of the moisture.

Sprinkle 1 tbsp of the caster sugar on each half of the grapefruit.

Blowtorch or put under a hot grill/broiler until golden.
