Palmers coconut hand cream Khoollect Rachel Khoo

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Hand cream

My hands take a battering, being in the kitchen. Constantly washing hands, doing the dishes and working with hot and cold temperatures is not so gentle on the skin. I need a hand cream that can soothe and replenish my dry skin. I have to admit, I am quite a hand cream addict. I have countless tubes scattered between my hand bag, desk, kitchen, bathroom, coat pocket… I’m always trying different ones and have a hard time saying no to a new tube. However, this recent purchase is my favourite. It’s rich and hydrating but, unlike some other heavy hand creams, it absorbs really quickly. The coconut smell is very appetising too (think tropical island).
Cotton gloves Khoollect Rachel Khoo
Cotton gloves AKA Magic Gloves
Sure, this is probably not the best look to wear to bed – but when my hands need some serious TLC it makes all the difference. I slather my hands with hand cream and pop on some cotton gloves (easily purchased at the chemist). Abracadabra! I wake up in the morning to super soft hands. I’m no scientist, but I think the warmth and extra long soak-in time helps my hands.
Rimmel 60 second nail polish Khoollect Rachel Khoo
Rimmel 60 Second Super Shine nail polish
A manicure in minutes! After the overnight hand mask and a two-minute manicure my hands are camera-ready. A quick file of my nails and a coat of this nail polish and I’m good to go. Plus, it dries in 60 seconds. This is a must with me as I have no patience and usually end up ruining my nail polish by having to answer my phone!
Lush ultrabland Khoollect Rachel Khoo
Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser
A quick, clean sweep! You can always smell Lush half a mile off. With it’s heavy cocktail of fruity smells wafting down the high street, I got sucked into the shop. This cleanser has already got rave reviews, which is not a surprise! It does exactly what it says on the package, leaves your face squeaky clean (hot cloth method is a must). I love the soft, fragrant, almondy (almond oil being a key ingredient) smell. (I’m not always a big fan of the Lush products that can be quite overpowering). But this one’s rich, creamy consistency makes your skin feel like it’s being nourished rather than stripped off (which some cleaners do!).
The Ordinary hyalronic acid Khoollect Rachel Khoo
The Ordinary. Hyaluronic Acid
Perfect for quenching your face’s thirst. You would think a rich moisturiser would be enough to quench the thirst of dry skin. Not for my face. It could guzzle the equivalent of a gallon of Evian and still want more. Hyaluronic acid gives my skin extra hydration and plumps up the skin. Hyaluronic acid doesn’t usually come cheap, but The Ordinary. (who also have some other great products) offer a very affordable version.
Bourjois Volume mascara Khoollect Rachel Khoo
Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara
Prepare to have Bambi eyelashes. Now, when it comes to mascaras I’m almost as bad as I am with hand cream. I have tried them all (cheap ones, expensive ones, high-tech ones) in the hope of finding the perfect one. This one, I have to say, is pretty darn good. It really makes my eyelashes look fuller and longer. It doesn’t clump up and has a handy mirror too.
