If you’re food-obsessed like us, there are instances where you’ll be eating food whilst talking about food, probably flicking through Instagram looking at food and already deciding what you’ll be eating at your next mealtime. It’s a healthy habit if you ask us.

Another great food-related activity we thoroughly enjoy is watching food on TV. Here’s a round-up of must see foodie films:

Chef

Director, writer & star of the film; Jon Favreau cooks up this upbeat story about a chef who loses his job and starts a food truck business in an effort to reclaim his creative flair, while piecing back together his estranged family.

 

Julie & Julia

Can Julie Powell master all of Julia Child’s 524 recipes in 365 days? Learn about the true, intertwined stories of two incredible, food-obsessed woman. Bon appétit!

 

Ratatouille

Ratatouille is a classic Pixar film with all the best ingredients to make a great story. A rat named Remy, who is able to cook incredible food, makes an unusual alliance with Linguini; a young kitchen worker at a famous French restaurant.

 

Burnt

Bradley Cooper plays a chef named Adam Jones who destroyed his career through bad habits. He cleans up and returns to London, determined to redeem himself by working as head chef at a fine-dining restaurant.

 

The Trip

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play fictionalised characters of themselves that go on a foodie tour of Northern England. If you love the actual Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, then you’ll love this film!

 

Jiro Dreams Of Sushi

The first ever sushi chef to obtain 3 michelin stars and deemed a Japanese national treasure; documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi discovers the humble world where sushi pilgrims travel across the globe to sit in a coveted seat at Jiro’s sushi bar.

 

Eat Drink Man Woman

Directed by Ang Lee, this food-filled classic film follows a semi-retired, widowed chef and his 3 unmarried daughters.
