It’s difficult to pick only one dessert!!! I will go for key lime pie with coconut cream on top – I love anything with zesty, fresh tropical flavours! 🙂
My favourite dessert is Funeral Pie, so called because it was given to grieving families. It is basically a raisin pie and reminds me of my teenage years which were spent in Pennsylvania, home to monumental German baking.
Red Velvet Cake….first tried it in Philadelphia US. Still haven’t found a version in the UK to beat that. I love the colouring, the fact that it is chocolate based with the amazing frosting.
xx
Tiramisu, just love the flavour plus the story of it’s origin make it seem more decadent.
My fav dessert is Tiramisu! It reminds me of my time living in Italy, and how much debate there is around it (from which region comes from, which is the best brand of mascarpone for tiramisu, which is the right “biscuit” to use).
Difficult to pick just one, but I think I’ll choose Apple Pie. There’s something so comforting about a hot slice of this appley, cinnamoney, flaky yumminess, especially if it’s swimming in custard!
Spotted dick & custard as it reminds me of my childhood where we would sniggercat the name.
I love cheesecake, so simple and delicious, and New York cheesecake is my absolute favourite! I would love to make Yasmin’s version!
My Grandma’s sticky date pudding with lashings of butterscotch sauce and cream…mmm!

pastry apple pie with cream
Not like there can only be one! :p But a favourite has got to be Swiss roll and custard! Fond childhood memories and not one I would ever turn down! 🙂 X
Chocolate brownies are definitely my favourite because they are sooo delicious and gooey and feel terribly naughty. Even better with ice cream and fresh cherries!
Chocolate Fondant!
I love them because you have the melting chocolate in the middle and the moist cake around the side. I love the taste of the hot cake mixed with cold vanilla ice cream.
I love it more now than I use to as when I was at school, me and my boyfriend (now fiance) would go to tesco, buy some and sit in the common room eating them together. People looked at us weird but it was our thing and now still is 🙂 <3
My favourite dessert is blackberry and apple crumble – so easy to make and the satisfaction of having picked the fruit for free in our local park.
Would love to win, can’t beat a new york dessert. frozen hot chocolate in serendipity’s
I love chocolate and peanut butter fudge cake. So decadent.

Strawberry tart with ice cream. Double yum.
Apple crumble and custard because it reminds me of my childhood
banoffee pie, combination of my favorite fruit and favorite sweet in toffee
I can’t enter as I am living in the U.S., but my reason for wanting to win would have been that I live in Massachusetts, and I would LOVE to have Rachel’s version of NYC Cheesecake. I used to love the Baby Watson cheesecakes, but they are no longer available. If anyone can make a delicious cheesecake, it is Rachel!! Love your site and everything RACHEL! Sincerely, Cynthia
Oh Khoollect! You have no idea how much I would love to win this book. I adore Yasmin.
To answer your question,I have a couple favourites.
A good sticky toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream never fails to satisfy my tummy. It’s my go-to dessert.
Another is halo-halo.It’s a bit like Korea’s patbingsu or Malaysia’s ais kacang. But halo-halo means a lot to me.It’s the taste of my childhood. It has everything that I love to eat in it like leche flan and ube ice cream and lots of refreshing shaved ice. Looking out the window at this minute, with the rain pouring,I am imagining eating halo-halo out in the sun. Wondering where our summer went, but still hopeful that it’ll come before August ends.
Please pick me,Khoollect!
*in my first entry,I forgot the double l’s in khoollect.ooops.*

A really good Hummingbird recipe red velvet cake (with the proper cream cheesy icing and dense moist sponge – not like the ghastly things you get in the supermarket) or a proper New York cheesecake…yum!
id have to say key lime pie
I love pretty much all desserts but I would always been drawn to salted caramel – especially in a tart or cheesecake! I have a sweet tooth but love the slightly savoury note salt brings.
Not traditionally a dessert…but crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside buttermilk biscuits with fresh raspberry jam is the best afternoon treat!!
My favourite is Banoffee pie
I love an Oreo cheesecake
Chocolate fudge brownie because I’m a chocaholic!
I have different desserts depending on the season.
For spring or summer it’s hard to beat a lovely exotic fruit salad or a pavlova with mango and passion fruit.
In autumn and winter I love apple and blackberry crumble with custard or a pecan pie.
To be honest I love all desserts!
I love key lime pie!
I would choose apple crumble as it is so autumnal. I prefer contrasting flavours like tart and sweet together, it’s so comforting and makes the house smell lovely of cinnamon and apples. I love being able to make a simple dessert without worrying that I have the ingredients and it works well with ice cream in summer or creme anglaise when it’s cold out.
Fruit crumble and custard. Satisfying collecting the fruit yourself, pure comfort food and so traditional
Love Eton Mess, So Simple and yet so yummy
Eton mess, I love the fruit, I love the meringue, and cream, a gorgeous mix that reminds me of summer, family and friends
I love a moist carrot cake with delicious cream cheese frosting
My favorite dessert would have to be a vanilla pound cake with toppings. A good pound cakes holds up to syrups, carmels, chocolates and even ice creams. Or keep it simple with berries and cream. I always find it delicious, simple and versatile dessert.
Salted Caramel Cheesecake! It’s heaven in your mouth. The sauce, the cream cheese then the biscuit! So Nice and so naughty at the same time.

Tarte au sucre (simply translated, “Sugar pie”): While it’s difficult to pick a favourite dessert, this one makes me nostalgic for growing up in Canada.
