freshmade organics: keeping skincare simple

With so much information available to us these days, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with skincare and beauty tips. Even a stroll through your local pharmacy’s beauty aisles can set you up for confusion. But, just like most things in life, it’s best to keep things simple. And, if the adage ‘you are what you eat’ is correct, then this is surely true of what you put on your face too.

Hong Kong-based skincare company freshmade organics is the brainchild of Vivian, a passionate woman who realised her dream of creating a skincare line in her thirties. Having dreamt of setting up her own range of cosmetic items since she was a teenager, Vivian set out to create a brand that was not all about the profit — and instead, centred on being as ethically sound as possible.

Freshmade Organics

Now, Vivian’s company freshmade organics is providing organic products that are natural, nourishing and good for the environment. Each product is made with fewer than ten ingredients, is formulated for all skin types and is free of toxins. And, freshmade organics’ products are not just for women, but for men (and even pets) too. You’ll also find a cleansing yoga mat spray on their website, for post-workout cleaning.

We asked Vivian for her best piece of skincare advice, to which she answered ‘keep it organic and simple.’

As well as being gentle on your skin and the environment, freshmade organics’ skincare is certified cruetly free by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). And, for each product sold, freshmade organics donates HK$10 to animal charities around the world.

Vivian insists that to get healthy, glowing skin, it’s essential to cleanse, tone, apply a facial serum and nourish, lastly, with some facial oil. She also recommends using two facial mask treatments a week for extra hydration.

Browse freshmade organics’ website for products to feed your skin from the outside in. (Products are listed in Hong Kong dollars.)
