As I’ve grown up, I’ve been slowly understanding my own fashion sense and style. I want to buy higher quality jewellery and statement pieces which have been carefully and creatively crafted. Below, I’ve shared my research with you on the brands that I feel are leading the jewellery statement charge.

Tatty Devine

Tatty Devine is mostly known for their perspex stand-out items. Founded in 1999, they are still independent, designing and manufacturing their jewellery in Britain which is incredible. My favourites are:

Arched Window Necklace

Brush Stroke Triple Necklace. This statement piece was a collaboration with the Tate.

Posy ring

Designosaur YEAH

This fun-fuelled company is run by designers Jacques Keogh and Karli Dendy in Brighton. As well as acrylic, they also use cherry wood to create some of their pieces such as their detailed skeleton dinosaur T-Rex.

Art movement Bauhuas inspired earrings. The design theory is that circles are always blue, triangles are yellow and squares are red. It’s quite a fun principle!

I particularly love their Chameleon Necklace which is transparent so it truly does blend into its surroundings. This was a collaboration with Hello DoDo who is a fellow maker.

Sugar & Vice

The lovely pair from Sugar and Vice work from their studio in Canterbury. Last year, Miley Cyrus wore one of their rings on the Jimmy Kimmel show which has increased their brand awareness globally.

Avocado necklace

Alpaca brooch

Mica Peet

Combining her love of print and jewellery after completing a Fashion Textile degree, Mica started her beautifully crafted jewellery business. I’m attracted to the colours of her beautiful pieces.

Triangle collar clips

Swallow earrings

The company was born from Brendan giving Ruth an acrylic bird keyring for her birthday in 2004. The couple haven’t looked back since and still work in their Spitalfields workshop hand cutting each individual component for their jewellery.

Mountain Sunset Necklace

Mouse and Cheese Stud Earrings
