I would love to win this as I just love books anyway, but ones on tips for interior design always fascinates me.

I have my own style heavily influenced by french chic, always get drawn to images in books, magazines and websites of anything relating to french homes and style.

But I also find that any time I’m at the movies, I increasingly notice all the decor and styles of furnishings, layout of rooms etc. even if it is just a pile of books on a sideboard. These experiences are so more interesting in context of a ‘living ‘ room, and the set designers are so spot on – with flair and imagination to create ambience albeit with furniture placement to simple bowls on a table, with seemingly ordinary rooms.

Mind you, most often I have to ‘re-visit’ the movie as I lose the plot easily this way!
Hope I win, because lots of my friends say I’m Mad about my House anyway.

I love books, whether hey get read or not and I am a sucker for a well marketed-front cover!
As for interiors, i’m Half way through a big renovation so this would be a great help. I love social media for inspiration, but I also don’t want to be totally clichè with my choices. It’s also a family home and so it needs to be practical. It’s tough to get the balance between ‘well styled’ and ‘looks like a set of a theatre’. I love to read tips and ideas and reading in general so would love to own this book:-)

Inspiration is everywhere! From the natural world to architecture, Pinterest and Instagram, and other people’s homes. My design ideas/aspirations always surpass my budget, alas, so creative thinking is always necessary….and it’s actually more interesting that way, I think. I often can’t sleep because I’m obsessed with an idea or trying to find my way around a particular problem.

I get a lot of inspiration from instagram these days. But I also like to go old school and spend some quality time flicking through magazines. I keep cuttings books of the ideas that really appeal to me.

I get my interior design inspiration from magazines that feature articles about real people’s homes. There seems to be so much choice these days it’s hard to know what would look,best in my own house.

I’m inspired by allsorts of things!! My mum, nature, car boot sales and charity shops! Friends, films and Pinterest!

Interior design inspiration comes from antiques and historical interiors.I love seeing how people lived in different time eras.

The inspiration is everywhere if you open your mind to see behind the corners :).
I make up my appartment with details inspired from streets (posters, flowers, architecture). Sometimes I found nice store showcase and trying to make the same – and that´s my magic of creative environment – to make like “store showcase” changing every month. 🙂

I moved into my house a couple of years ago and I’m constantly thinking of ways to decorate it. Im very lucky to come from an artistic family and have many design orientated friends who work in different areas of interior design to painters and decorators. I love Pinterest and follow Kate’s boards and her Instagram along with many others such as Rocket St George, Habitat, even Ikea. My brother designs for Ikea. I don’t have the funds to finance up decorating as I have fibromyalgia but I take inspiration where I can and do what I can on a tight budget. Design is all inspiring!

It would be amazing to win this book, especially because I need some new inspiration for my flat.

My interior inspiration comes from my holidays and travels – or travel websites! I like to look at different styles from around the world and combine them in a way that reflects me.

I would love to win a copy of this book- I am currently renovating a 400 year old home.
Where do I get my inspiration from? First and foremost books! I am a book-a-holic and as I am a photographer I am drawn to images on real pages! I also look to nature- what feels calm, rustic or sensual. I also love other peoples blogs, pinterest and instagram for inspiration but I am pretty confident in what I love and I love seeing it through to realization once I get the general ideas from all those sources I like to put that into my own style- so its never copycat. I am drawn to white interiors but I also love shades of grey and other neutrals. I think cinema influences me too it intrigues me how the designers can really create a sense of a time in history or the personality of the characters in the film. I adore Amelie but also period films like the Jane Austen. I am hooked on mixing traditional with a bit industrial and French at the core. xx Corrina Tough

I love mooching around shops, car boot sales, flea markets and antiques fairs and finding a little trinket or ornament which then inspires me for the rest of the room. I also like to take inspiration from nature and many of my colour schemes in the house reflect favourite flowers or trees

My influences comes from interior magazines mainly, but I browse Pinterest daily, go to charity shops, watch YouTube videos related to the subject, and from movies! I love the style in Wes Anderson’s movies, and if I even get a chance the next place I move into will be all inspired by his films.

I do love my Scandinavian interior, mixed with a bit of French, botanical prints, bright colors, and geeky prints.

I have to admit I do not see myself as having amazing interior design style but I absolutely love flicking through Instagram and saving pictures of houses and rooms that I can draw inspiration from. I love neutral room colours but also love when people incorporate different textures, colours and patterns, so that they add to the room but don’t overwhelm the overall feeling.

My inspiration is sadly from my own head, which seems to be full of magnolia. I feel if I win this book it will change my life forever.I need all the help I can get.

The very first thing I do each morning is to read Kates blog for inspiration. My day just doesn’t get off to a good start otherwise, without my “fix!” I read every interior magazine under the sun and Pinterest of course! I get inspiration from shop interiors and the hundreds of websites I browse weekly. I am a complete addict and definitely a visual person.

A lot of inspiration comes from my family and friends, I love nothing more than a good shopping trip or cosy night in brain storming ideas and putting mood boards together. They challenge me to explore different options and it really makes my home even more personal.

I browse through home furnishing websites

I get inspiration from Home magazines mostly and occasionally from Pinterest.

My design inspiration comes from bloggers (such as aliceinscandiland), Scandinavian design sourced through pinterest, magazines and friends homes. Whatever the inspiration it needs to feel homely and lived in – not a show home.

I’d love to win this gorgeous book! My partner and I live in our very own version of the Little Paris Kitchen, not in Paris but in rural Wales instead. My style is inspired by an eclectic mix of vintage floral prints, polka dots, upcycled furniture, mismatched china and modern typographical prints. All coming together to make the unique place that we call home We collect a little something for our home every time we go away (a poster, a postcard or a little trinket), and I love that looking at these around our home brings back so many memories

I take inspiration from everything around me especially hotels I stay in and restaurants. Recently it was a restaurant I visited and I loved their exposed brick and rustic shelves which has inspired me to attempt to do something similar with my shelves. In another restaurant it was the way they had their flowers displayed on the wall that made me rethink how I display mine.

I love to find stuff for my house and garden! Nowhere is out of bounds and it’s not unusual to find me in a skip or chatting to the builders to see if they will let me have a rummage in the rubbish! I am constantly looking. Obviously glossy gorgeous magazines, instagram and Pinterest are inspirational but that passion comes from within you it is instinctive. When I find something I know it’s an adrenaline rush and I know I’ve found treasure – I have a total addiction in particular to rusting metal I have been trying to set up my business MardiGirl …. and with very little money I have supported myself for some time selling my found things which has also been interesting – as I am helping people as a Personal Organiser. I will always want stuff …some things you can’t change! I follow Mad About The House, Kate is lovely such a wonderful way with words and her home is so beautifully gathered together. Pininterest is really good for design inspiration

It’s no hidden secret in our family, I adore interior design.

Whether it’s moving a few bits and bobs around to freshen up a room or redesigning a room from scratch, decor makes me giddy.

I’ve been following Kate’s IG for a good while now (and her friend Erica Davies!) and they are my biggest inspirations. They show that things don’t have to be uniform, don’t have to match- in fact, when they don’t it gives a room character.

Rules don’t always apply, and that’s okay.

I’m soon moving into my first home and am looking for interior design tips, particularly how to make the most of small spaces. The book caters to all styles and I think it would be perfect for first time buyers like myself who have no idea where to start!

From daily life. Checking out Instagram, taking my sweet Daisy dog for a walk, to walking through a Flea Market store. I will see a design, color, small item around my own home and my mind just takes over!

I tends to be from magazines I read in the hairdressers

I get my inspiration from other people’s homes and from a lovely furniture shop which is local to me called Lynn Morgan, where they make any sofa or chair you require, they have a showroom in an old barn and everything they stock is highly desirable, to me anyhow.

i would love to win this i am an aspiring interior designer and i am at university in my final year! very keen to study interior design further as its been a passion of mine before i even knew it was a thing at 9 years old!

i am inspired by everything around me, i love using instagram, tv shows and pinterest obviously.
but mostly from stufying fine art at university i am inspired by art and statement pieces, i often see pieces and imagine the entire room that it would be surrounded by. i am inspired by pieces to make rooms for them rather than finding pieces to fill rooms.

I get my inspiration from various places. First stop is the Internet – Pinterest, Instagram. Just to get ideas and see how maybe certain colours compliment each other.

But I much prefer to see things in real life. What use is a Moroccan themed room if you’ve never been there and actually experienced it. I feel if you can immerse yourself in the culture or the environments of the style you’re going for then you get better results. So I guess travelling has inspired me a lot too!

The past is always a good place to look for some inspiration too. Vintage and retro styling is awesome. I love reusing things to save it being wasted so this is always a good way to get inspired.

Finally, I just like to try and express how I’m feeling so I guess my inspiration is also myself.

I get my inspiration from the places I visit. Every country has its own culture and style and by taking elements from each I try to create something unique.

I get my design inspiration from Houzz, Pinterest and House Curious. I love so many styles though, it’s hard to stick to one! The one constant thing is my colour theme, I love greys and teal.

I would love to win this book , as I’m in the middle of renovating my flat, and am feeling totally overwhelmed , as there is so much to do . ( old water tank / boiler being pulled out as I write , and smart combi going in ) I seem to take my inspiration from hotels I visit in south east Asia – I always leave my hotel room thinking , I wish I could replicate that – and once we start planning the interior work ( opposed to the boring structural stuff ) – I hope we can . I would like to create a calm , oriental ambiance – a peaceful little sanctuary ( the flat is teeny ) in the middle of Surrey 🙂 PS – good luck all !

I tend to look in magazines for inspiration but I also like to go to shops and exhibitions. Even looking on the web and television can give you ideas. It would be nice though to have some ideas from an expert on interior design so would love to be lucky enough to win this.

I’m part driven by pinterest and the wonderful setups I see there, but my main inspiration is my grandma’s house. It’s full of beautiful vintage treasures and feels cosy without being cluttered. It’s perfect!

People and places. I have one person (who is actually my boss) who I trust with style ideas. If she says yes then I know I’m onto a good thing

We live in a Georgian farm house so I trawl the internet looking for period ideas for decorating the house.

Most of my ideas are from instore displays or online sites

Love looking at Pinterest – but before then used to buy the home style magazines – showing my age but I was very into stencilling when it was popular – had a lovely leaf stencil free with one of the mags x

I just love the look of classic cruise liners like the QE11 or the France classic 1960s ships
