I’ve just gotten into smoothies in a big way! My go-to one is 2 nectarines or peaches (chopped), a few chunks of frozen pineapple, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and topped up with almond milk. Sometimes I put blueberries in too and it goes the most awesome shade of purple! I also like a peanut butter and chocolate mix – PB, touch of Nutella, small banana, almond milk, and a scoop of PB&chocolate protein powder. It’s like a naughty milkshake that’s really good for you. I tried putting kale in a smoothie once but it made it taste awful. Not sure if the other ingredients weren’t to blame, but there we go…!
For lunch today I have a cucumber cooler – half a cucumber, half a lemon (flesh and rind, but not pith!), 6oz Greek yoghurt, 1 pear, splash of almond milk to thin it a little. Hopefully it’ll be nice!
These smoothie combos sound SO delicious, Katherine. I’m definitely going to try them! x
Chocolate protein powder, loads of spinach, banana, peanut butter plus almond milk or water 🙂 YUM! and a great way to get some extra greens in quickly!
Love fresh smoothies. In our house we go for either carrot, Apple and ginger or strawberries, blueberries and banana.
I love putting ginger in my smoothies!
Go to smoothie recipe for an early morning walk: spinach, ginger, banana and greek yogurt. If it have blueberries that goes in as well.
I love my smoothies in the morning, but my go to smoothie for the summer is my green smoothie, Kale, Celery, Coconut water, pink lady Apple, and then I add some chia seeds. It’s a great detox to start the day
My current favourite smoothie has chunks of pineapple and mango, a few strawberries, spinach, flaxseeds, dates and coconut milk. Totally yum and very tropical! Sometimes I also like to blend together banana, spinach, cacao powder, a generous dollop of almond butter and Greek yogurt. Creamy and dreamy!
Bananas! Bananas! Bananas! They add so much flavor that they can’t be left out in any smoothie!
The alphabet smoothie!!
Depending on what day of the week it is determines what smoothie ingredients I put in! This keeps me super inspired and creative and open to new flavour combinations!
So say I’m doing a smoothie for tomorrow morning – Tuesday.

I also experiment with people’s names of who I’m making a smoothie for! Or use the names of months at the start of a new month!
It’s such a great way to try new ingredients and keep inspired to keep smoothies a fun part of your daily ritual! Great for kids and there imaginations too!
Love Amie x
My two secret smoothie ingredients are two delicious Colombian fruits: lulo, which is sweet and sour; and guava, full of vitamin c!
Every morning I make a smoothie for breakfast. In it I put, 2 weetabix, vitamin tablets, calcium tablets, 1 banana, 2oz of blueberries, 2oz of mango, and a cup of soya milk. The weetabix make it really thick, and I have to eat it with a spoon. Yummy. X
My favourite smoothie from traveling in Southeast Asia, was pineapple, mint, coconut yogurt and lime. Which I have tried to recreate many times, but I think I just have to go back to have it. There is just something about sitting on an island drinking this smoothie that you just can’t recreate. 🙂
There’s nothing like ginger+lemon+apple as a smoothie base. Than just add any greens (kale or spinach) or carrot and beets! maybe with beets just a dash of ginger. Or add large orange to my base.
My other option is berries! any mixed berries, fresh, frozen any! and apple. if you want to change texture add some porridge and a touch of Greek style yogurt or a banana to smooth it up.
Have anyone tried kimchi or miso in their smoothies? you know, like miso porridge style.
I like the combination of spinach, pineapple, mango, and kiwi. It’s light and a great mid-day treat. You can make this smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit.
Frozen spinach (replaces need for ice), banana, apple juice, tiny piece of ginger. Beautiful!
Packing in as much goodness as you can, while making flavours sing, baby spinach leaves, lemon, ginger, coconut milk, banana, whey protein power and a kiwi for a little sweetness YUM, boasts my mid morning!
