A chat with Khoollector, Anne

***Rachel Khoo would like to thank all the inspiring people who helped make the Khoollect studio a hive of creativity. Although the Khoollect studio’s doors have now closed, you can keep up with Rachel’s newest adventures on RachelKhoo.com and on Rachel’s Instagram and Facebook pages – and, continue to enjoy the Khoollect website’s stories and recipes, which will remain available.***

We love chatting with our fellow Khoollectors. Every few weeks we take a moment to fire over some questions to a selected member of the Khoollect community in an attempt to learn a little more about what they do and what makes them tick. Today we are chatting to Anne Abraham Jacob, a Sydney resident with a love for clothes and makeup.

So have a seat, grab a cuppa and get to know Anne.

What do you do?

I am a mum to my two children and work part time in business development.

What do you #khoollect?

Clothes! and makeup.

What’s was your favourite recent post on Khoollect?

Interestingly, my favourite post recently was the one on what the Khoollect staff and team wear to work! Besides food, I love fashion and style. I particularly loved that Sonya Gellert was wearing a Gorman dress in the article.

What’s your favourite snack?

My snack varies from kaya toast or bak kwa sandwiches if I’m feeling naughty. Or, if I’m feeling healthy, a banana/blueberry date smoothie made with my homemade almond milk.

Where’s your go-to hangout in Sydney?

I love my coffee, so any of my favourite local cafes in the inner west of Sydney.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

This is a tough question! New York is my absolute favourite city. However, I do have a soft spot for DC where I used to live. Lately though I have been feeling nostalgic and wanting to move back to Singapore.

What was the last item of clothing you bought?

A gorgeous skirt and top from a local store Made 590 in Newtown. They design the most beautiful clothes with the most amazing fabrics and all made locally in Australia. I love supporting local businesses.

How do you get cosy during the cold winter months?

Hot chocolate is my weakness and warms me up immediately

What’s your ideal Christmas day?

I love Christmas. Christmas morning at church, followed by lunch with the family. Seeing the joy on my children’s faces when they open their gifts. For me, it is spending time with my family and friends that makes Christmas special. Also making pumpkin pie. I love a good pumpkin pie.

How are you planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve will be a quiet one as I have young kids. Usually watching the fireworks on the telly. Sydney has the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen.
