When it comes to the resplendent spring months, it’s not just the brightly hued blooms that ought to be looking gorgeous. If you saw Rachel Khoo’s fuss-free, five-minute fresh face makeup tutorial, you’ll know we like a speedy regime. We’ve put together our top tips for spring beauty, to help you get your new season look sorted.

Cherish the skin you’re in

The best beginning to any beauty look is healthy, nourished skin. Finding a good moisturiser that your skin type loves is paramount. We love this one, which is suitable for sensitive skin.

Seek shelter from the sun

Our sun-protection habits tend to change during winter, when we’re spending more hours cosying up indoors. When we reemerge from our hibernation, however, it’s time to ensure we’re using SPF to keep our skin safe, youthful and happy. There are plenty of lovely, nicely scented sun creams available to choose from these days that won’t prompt oily breakouts.

Colouring in, for your face

When the sun’s out, our outfit choices generally become more colourful and patterned; so why not add a little colour to your makeup routine? A little splash of lipstick (like this one and these), and a spot of sun-kissed bronzer and blusher will have you feeling as fresh as a daisy.
