The Khoollect Squad Series is a chance for us to introduce our community to our most-loved digital stars — the bloggers, Snapchatters and Instagrammers  — who are setting the pace on and offline. This squad is online, on point and, now, on your radar too. We think you’ll love the worlds of #thekhoollectsquad as much as we do.

Fashion extraordinaire and ambitious dream follower, our newest K-Squad recruit knows what it means to dress for the occasion. After living in London for just over a year, Brooke Falvey returned home to Brisbane to share her style storytelling talents on her blog, Blonde Ambition. With a background in journalism, Brooke shares thoughtful lifestyle and fashion pieces all while travelling the world, lengthy bucket list in hand, and inspiring her readers to start doing what they’ve always dreamed of doing. Ready to dress like you mean it? Get to know the girl behind the blog …

Where in the world do you live? Brisbane, Australia.

What do you #khoollect? Greeting cards. I am always buying beautiful cards to send to my family and friends, and at last count I had about 200. I also have a box in which I keep the letters and cards I’ve been sent from people including my friend/penpal Erin (we send cards each month rather than text or email, unless it’s big news) and also from my mum and grandma who both sent me mail and letters when I lived in London.

What’s your favourite recipe? Mum’s macaroni cheese is a recipe I’ll always treasure (but it’s better when she makes it); and, when it comes to my cooking, I make a mean scrambled eggs with cheese and chives, served with sourdough.

What’s your favourite film? Dirty Dancing; I love everything about it from the music to the storyline, to the story behind the movie of how none of the big studios wanted to make it so Eleanor Bergstein did it herself and it became a huge hit. Plus I know pretty much every line by heart and yet I still watch it again and again.

What’s your favourite book? I don’t really have one favourite book but I loved The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger; anything by Maggie Alderson and crime thrillers by Karen Rose, Karin Slaughter, and James Patterson.

What’s some of the best advice you’ve ever received? It’s okay for every day not to be a great day. Sometimes, it’s just a day. Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes and don’t give up on yourself.
