My favourite home baked treat is spelt bread, I love it slightly warm slathered in butter.

My favourite has got to be banana bread- especially if you add pecans and chocolate chips! I quite want to try swirling some peanut butter through too, since banana & peanut butter are such a winning combination!

My favorite is warm cinnamon coffee cake and dark roast coffee in the morning.
Just discovered snickerdoodles….cinnamon biscuits they are just the right balance of crisp and chewy….easy to make so kids can help and to switch out cinnamon to ring the changes…cardamon, coffee…all yummy.
Home made crumpets with lashings of butter!
It has to be a pile of chocolate and cardamom cookies. Fresh out the oven. Not for sharing. With a lovely cup of tea (in the biggest China mug I have).
A nice marble cake with vanilla and chocolate and pieces of apple in the middle. A nice treat for the entire family.
My favourite baked treat is definitely cardamom buns. After tasting them for the first time in Stockholm a few years ago, I am hooked!
For me, a lemon tart with a thick tangy lemon curd is a favourite. I have fond memories of baking these treats with mum when I was little and so it’s one of the most comforting desserts when I have a craving!
I love making strawberry and rhubarb pat crumble. Sweet, comforting and seasonal. Warmed with custard it is simply delightful.
Hard to choose between cinnamon buns, and the banana bread my mum made when I was little, which I continue to bake today.

My favourite treat in the whole wide world has to be a pancake with lemon curd spread over. I don’t have them often so its a treat when I do, but it hits the spot every time and never fails to takes me to my happy place 🙂
Shapes vary depending on teh time of year but as it’s Halloween-ish time we have been making Halloween ghosts. Gingerhread biscuits with added turmeric (to be healthy) and nutmeg covered in vanilla icing and topped with sweets (usually smarties) for eyes yuuuum! 🙂

A apple and cinnamon cake , it’s made with double cream instead of butter , the recipe was given to me by a lovely German lady and dates back to the war , perfect comfort food x

My favorite cosy home treat is a little cliche, but it’s cookies. Any kind and variety. I just love the process of making them and the tasty results.

My favourite homemade treat has to be Swedish cinnamon and cardamom buns with pearl sugar sprinkled on top, fresh from the oven with a cup of coffee. Super comforting and super cosy!
Freshly baked brownies out the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with a blueberry sauce made from warming blueberry jam with some apple juice!
I love my home made sour dough bread. Chunks pulled off and dipped in flavoured oils and my blackberry dip.

My mama’s classic bread and butter pudding. Simple,no fuss and definitely cosy. For extra naughtiness, I add crushed creme egg choc on top.

My favourite home baked item is Pumpkin pie, and make it one Sunday a month as comfort food during the cold weather season for my family. I even roll my own pate’ brise for that extra touch of love. 😉
My birthday is in October, so I’ve been very partial to this lovely dessert my whole life. So much so it was what my mother baked as my “cake”!
Seems I just found this website just in time! Have been a fan of Rachel for years (have her first book), and wondering what she’s been up to, lately, Googled her. Perhaps there will be more tv episodes to come? Am hoping so!!!
