As you probably know, we’re big movie people here at Khoollect, and for us, this season’s all about wrapping up and getting stuck into a good festive movie for the holiday season. Christmas is fast approaching, and there’s nothing more Christmassy than good telly and thick comfy socks.

Luckily for us, this time of year sees our TV screens jam-packed with great movies to get lost in. But with so many great movies out there to watch over the holidays, it’s sometimes a struggle to choose. That’s where we come in. Feeling a little indecisive? Grab a loved one, wrap up and pick one of our favourite’s from the list below.

For all the ingenious traps and slip-ups we can’t go a Christmas without watching Home Alone (1990). The others in the series are great, but the first will always have a special place in our hearts.

Batman Returns (1992) is another of those must-watches. Tim Burton takes us to a place only he knows in his second Batman movie from the early 90’s. Ahh the nostalgia.

A couple of years before Arnold Schwarzenegger was pleading with us to “get out of here”, he was being a family man and trying to make up for lost father-son time in Jingle All The Way (1996).

Maybe it’s the soft pastel colours, or the jittery yet smooth animation style of The Snowman (1982) that makes us feel all warm inside. Whatever it is, it works.

Last but not least, this was suggested by Khoollector Hadassa: Here’s what she had to say about it:

‘Where The Wild Things Are (2009). Actually, this movie can be watched anytime a year or a day. But it’s a good one to snuggle up under a pile of blankets, surround yourself with nice nibble bits and dream away!’
