Who are food-loving people behind Mindful Chef?

We’re Myles Hopper and Giles Humphries; we met as two school friends from Devon and grew up in the West Country. We’ve now made our way to London.

Tell us about Mindful Chef … what’s it all about?

Mindful Chef is the UK’s number-one-rated recipe box service; we deliver all the fresh ingredients that you need to cook a specific dinner along with a recipe card to match those ingredients. Our customers are then able to cook up fabulous, delicious and healthy dinners. We focus exclusively on healthy ingredients but don’t compromise on taste. Everything is 100% gluten and dairy free; we don’t send processed foods like pasta or bread.

What inspired your love of food?

Growing up in the West Country, we both spent a lot of time on farms, by the ocean and in the countryside. This area offers some of the best produce in the UK and, as a result, its fabulous fresh seafood and meat gave us our love for good honest grub.

When you’re not running a food delivery service, which recipes do you use the most at home?

A great homemade spag bol with sweet potato noodles or cajun chicken lettuce tacos on a summer’s night.

You’re based in London; what are your favourite places to eat in your city?

Love a Bodeans, Metro Garden in Clapham has a beautiful outdoor area and Tapas Brindisa is a great go-to post-work place.
