With hygge season in full swing, we’ve been dreaming of an escape to some Scandinavian hotspots, and what better city than Copenhagen? Touted as the ‘coolest kid on the Nordic block’  we think we might have to make a cheeky weekend visit to the Danish capital; with its cool bars, fashion scene and culinary expertise: proven by being home to 2014’s best restaurant in the world, Noma.

We asked you guys the best places to visit in the hope of discovering something we hadn’t seen, and you certainly came through for us. Here’s a few of our favourite Copenhagen hotspots from the Khoollect community…

Real Food
If you’re looking for some good organic food, make sure you visit Relæ restaurant in the Nørrebro district. Thanks to @sadieinstavanger for the suggestion.

Amusements
@ameliahull82
suggested visiting Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park/pleasure garden near Københavns Hovedbanegård station. As the second oldest working amusement park in the world, this is a must visit if you’re a fan of classic rides and chill out urban gardens.

Cosy Dining
Head a few minutes north from Tivoli Gardens and discover a beautiful Nordic- and French-inspired restaurant that goes by the name of Peder Oxe. If you’re around in the autumn and winter months, find a seat near the open fire for that truly Hygge experience. Thanks to @auvernia for suggesting this one.

Meander
Take a stroll by the Nyhavn canal on a summer’s evening and pop into one of the many cafes and restaurants that run alongside it. According to @sui_collins it’s also a great place to gaze at some of the city’s most colourful architecture.

Tour with a Twist
Think you could cycle 23 miles in 3 1/2 hours? Tour the city with Bike Mike’s for an extra special look of the city. As Mike says himself, ‘I am not just another #$@%&*! bike tour guide. I am Bike Mike.’
