Move it: feel-good activities

Sometimes when you’re in a bit of a motionless rut, the best thing to do is bust a move. We’re not suggesting you go join in on a marathon right away, but we’ve pulled together some feel-good activities to make you feel, well, good again.

Here are some of our favourite feel-good activities:

It may feel a little childish at first, but once you put on your favourite songs and get into the spin of things, you’ll be strengthening your core and having a fun time doing so.

Van Halen once crooned, ‘might as well jump,’ and we think this can be an excellent feel-good activity. Hop on a trampoline for half an hour; try bringing your knees up high, jogging as fast as you can on the spot, and doing star jumps.

Whether you’re into Latin dancing, tap dancing, break dancing, or just a good old-fashioned improvised boogie, dancing is a great way to get out of a funk.

Feeling a little over-stimulated by work or life? Focus your mind on juggling. Start with two juggling balls and work your way up to three. You can even try this one on your lunch breaks.
