My favourite combination is pickled cucumbers with…anything!!! I have them with every single meal, probably thanks to my Jewish heritage and our love for all things pickled. But probably my favourite combo is pickled cucumbers with cream cheese. It’s absolutely amazing in a sandwich or a Brick Lane beigel. They’ll make it for you in the Brick Lane Beigel Bake too, highly recommend!
I love sweet potato, apple and blueberry – it started as a weaning mixture for my daughter and now we use that combination in different quantities for muffins and mash.
Raspberry and papaya is also a sublime combo!
Hmm…love so many flavour combinations! My favourite at the moment is passion fruit and lime, so refreshing in summer
You can never go wrong with Chicken and Chinese spices.
I have a very sophisticated palate. The ultimate flavour combination is chicken liver pate and cream cheese. This must be sandwiched between toasted seeded bread. The chicken liver pate must be made with thyme.
Is that really bad?!
Peanut butter, cream cheese and celery – it so works and brings a smile to my face
It’s not dainty or elegant but I just can’t go past peanut butter and really dark chocolate, and I’m not apologetic for the American influence there either. It’s just unctuous and perfect.
It’s got to be peanut butter and salted caramel
My favourite combination is Lime, Rose and Pistachio! Made a posset of these flavours recently and it was amazing!!
Goats Cheese & Honey…match made in sweet-&-savoury heaven!!
banana and balsamic vinegar, sweet and sour.
Has to be lime and mint for me……mojitos might be to blame for this.
I love a strawberry and rhubarb crumble with some vanilla custard drizzled over it!
I love Ruby!!! And I love cucumber and mint together!
Pandan and coconut. With my roots in Malaysia, this taste always reminds me of there!
I love hot banana with cinnamon
For the summer this year it has to be harissa and lime, a new favourite 🙂
I’m a huge white chocolate and vanilla fan! <3
It has to be tomato with warmed black olives, capers and basil!
Salmiakki (Finnish salty liquorice) and raspberry. Salmiakki ice cream and raspberry ice cream is the perfect example of the balance between salty and sweet.
Lemon, garlic, olive oil and parsley – wonderful on bbq prawns
Has to be salt and caramel….or if savoury, ham and apple – with a bit of mayonnaise between some crusty wholemeal bread. Yom yom yom!
During the summer I love mango, chilli and lime – its refreshing and has a super kick
Peanut butter and marmalade go so well together. My love for it stems from when my Gran would make me peanut butter on toast for breakfast, using the same knife she had used to make marmalade on toast for her and Grandad.
My favourite flavour is rhubarb and basil
I like dipping chips in milkshake.
Mine is lime and cilantro 🙂
Tahini, Honey and olive oil- drizzled over everything! X
Cheese with sweet things, Apple, pear, grapes or even Jam. Can’t help it!
My favourite flavour combinations have to involve something sweet, I’ll always try new to adapt this but inevitably Cardamom, cinnamon and dark brown sugar mixed with fresh chopped pistachios all used in baked buns, fruit crumbles and cakes. So tasty.
X
Picking just one flavour combination is tough! I recently tried a lime and basil sorbet which was tasty and super refreshing. I’m definitely looking to fit more of this combination into my summer diet!
So many combinations, so little time!
In terms of baking, I love caramel with apple and pecan. My toffee apple and pecan loaf is an autumnal favourite that tastes great but gives the house a lovely warm, cosy smell too!
I love rhubarb, ginger and lime at the moment. Works brilliantly as a dessert or, if you fancy a lovely summery mocktail, try rhubarb & rosehip cordial, ginger ale, and a squeeze of lime over loads of ice!
Hot chips and Mayo. So good.
My favourite combination has to be mint and watermelon, so refreshing! It makes a perfect combination in a salad or as a pudding or as a drink – endless possibilities!
I love the combination of goat’s cheese and ratatouille. Found out about it through a recipe for a vegetarian goat’s cheese & ratatouille lasagna… yum!
It may not be the most exciting but I love tomato and basil in any form, as a salad, pasta sauce etc
Pineapple and black pepper. My dad introduced it to me way back when I was little and I’ve been hooked ever since!
Lemon and blueberry or peanut butter and chocolate everything!
