Hey!
I remember my super present exactly – it was a chair. From mum and dad on christmas. It was nostalgic, design, wooden piece. Really nice and surprising.
Morning 🙂
As a fan of old school VW campervans and lego, at the age of 22 getting a lego campervan on Christmas Day made my day. It definitely kept me occupied for the day with 2000 pieces assembled just in time for some left over christmas dinner and chooclates before bed.
A photo of me and my wife from a friends wedding that we had no idea had been taken. One of the best photos taken of us, and a nice surprise to boot.

I recently started an Instagram and website to photograph and publish my tummy-friendly/low FODMAP recipes. My super star boyfriend surprised me for my birthday this year with a Kitchen Aid to encourage me to keep following my passions. It is by far the best gift I have ever received!
One of the best gifts I’ve ever received was a ring my father gave me after I spent a week in the hospital with pneumonia. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer just a month afterwards and passed away quite quickly. It’s been 10 years and I have almost never taken it off.
I remember the cutest present I ever received – when I was a kid, santa that looked like my aunt (no wonder why), gave a huge pack of paper! That was a super nice present – I had somewhere to draw properly for two weeks till it ended. Sweets that came in the pack were nice too, though!
My mum got me a beautiful silver, spiked bangle from Oman. I wear it every day.
The best gift I received was by my husband post my delivery. My mum was visiting us to help take care of my older child and the new baby. My husband booked me a spa session at the Mandarin Oriental followed by afternoon tea for my mum and me! I got some ‘me time’ and then quality time with my mum while the husband took care of the kids! Very thoughtful and sweet gesture!
Every year, my little (now 30yo) brother has given me a violet crumble bar for my birthday. Sure, over the teenage years the novelty wore thin, but now, the simplicity and nostalgia associated with it makes it the gift I anticipate most each year!
BeSt gift hopefully will be when I moved to the UK so I can be eligible for a prize,
My Mum produced a wonderful photobook of my life so far at my non-hen, hen-do – she’d be scanning photos for months and asking friends for their photos to add to the book. Amazing!
One of the nicest gifts I received was a surprise box from a freelance editor I work with. It was filled with a book by Mary Berry, the cutest napkins, silicon brownie baking molds and a little address book.
The best gift I ever received was when my adult son spent the whole of Mothers Day with me doing things he knew I would enjoy! We walked in the botanic gardens, had lunch at a restaurant, had a cuppa and read the Sunday paper at a coffee shop, went to the cinema, then had a Tai meal for dinner while watching another movie. Just wonderful!
Definitely a scrappy little rag doll my little sister made for me when she was 8 – she’s 23 now and I still have it on my desk to see every day!

A beautiful original oil painting for my 30th birthday from my sister. I had lots of prints but this is one of a kind and I love it.
One of the best gifts I ever received were cute earrings, one representing a mouse and the other one a piece of cheese. I love cheese and the earrings were meant to fit my personality. Even more important than the gift itself was the thoughts behind it and my boyfriend looking for a gift which would make me happy. I also love love my garlic baker 🙂

My daughter has a weekend job, working at the ’till at a local grocery shop. She told me once if she liked a customer because they treated her kindly, they would receive a shiny penny in their change. One rainy, busy Saturday, feeling a bit frazzled, I went through her checkout and there in my change was the shiniest penny ever. I look at it sometimes and it makes me feel happy.
One of the best gifts I ever received was a pair of beautiful hand-carved, hand-painted baubles – a gift from my friend when I moved into my new flat. They’re too pretty to keep just for Christmas so I have them out on display on my bookshelf so I can enjoy looking at them ALL the time 🙂
