I’d love to be able to broaden my wine tastes as tend to migrate to the same grape varieties each time I pick a bottle. It would help me be more confident in my choices.
I usually stick to the same few wines and would love this book to learn more about different varieties!
The elixir of life in over ten thousand varieties . How good is that!
I enjoy drinking wine and would love to know more. It would certainly help make it a lot easier to choose a bottle, when dealing with rows of bottles at the supermarket. Or when you’re at a restaurant and presented with a book the size of War and Peace, listing a bazillion wines you’ve never heard of and the sommelier (wine waiter) hasn’t either lol!
I am a copywriter working in the wine trade and this would look great on my desk!
I thoroughly enjoy wines and the pursuit of knowledge concerning them. It is enjoyable and fascinating.
Wine, like cooking, is something you can never know too much about. Wine is an integral part of our lifestyle. We drink it, cook with it, marinate with it, and sometimes preserve with it. We need more knowledge as to wine-food pairings not to mention the nuances of the different varieties. We only recently learned chardonnay should be drunk at 55 degrees F as opposed to chilled like other white wines.
As someone who appreciates a good glass of wine with my food I would love to understand and learn more about what I am drinking.
Try various types and tastes
To stop my husband thinking he knows more than me!
I love wine but unfortunately know absolutely nothing about it. I always stick to the same 2 wines and when I’m in a restaurant or wine bar regularly feel rather stupid if I don’t know what wine to ask for! I would love to be more knowledgeable on the subject, especially for when we have dinner parties, so I can choose the correct wine for the correct course!
I live drinking wine but I only have a select few that i always go to, so I’d love to be able to broaden my wine spectrum if you like. I’d also love to be able to pair wines with food.
I drink so much of it, I thought it might be worth my while learning a bit more about it so I can savour it a bit more rather than just chugging it down! 😀
I don’t know much about wine, I just know what I’ve tasted and therefore what I like so it would be great to know more
My dad is a keen wine enthusiast so it would be nice to have an intelligent conversation with him about it
I’m French and I live in London. Every time I go to the restaurant with colleagues or friends, they ask me to pick the wine “because French know about wine”. Well, in reality, I have a lot to learn about it and I always find it a bit stressful to choose! This book would be very helpful for me to know how to select the wine for a perfect food and wine pairing and to be more confident next time I am asked to choose the wine.
The current risk of confusing a pinot noir with a pinot grigio is a current danger.
I want to learn more about wine to complement my cooking with it better!
I love cooking and I would love to learn more to be able to pair wines with different dishes.
