Behind the doors of Rachel’s beauty cabinet

It’s no secret I love incorporating bright pops of colour into my everyday look, especially with my choice of lipsticks. But, if you take a peek behind the door of my bathroom beauty cabinet, you’ll discover what’s even more important to me is a sound daily beauty regime and taking great care of my skin.
What a lot of you don’t know, is that I barely wear any makeup (except for my trusty bright lippy) when I’m not filming. On-set makeup tends to be very heavy, so when I’m in the office with the Khoollect team and on the go (usually by bike), I like to go bare-faced with just a touch of mascara and lipstick.
With a hectic schedule of travel and filming, and regularly hopping between time zones, I want to keep my skin looking fresh, primed and primped with a quick and simple beauty routine:
In the mornings I start with Caudalie instant foaming cleanser and a face cloth. I love the fresh fragrance and how gentle it is. Then I dabb on some Clarins double serum, followed by a moisturiser. I’m currently using Jurlique rose moisture plus revitalising gel-lotion. I never leave the house without putting on factor 50 sunscreen. At the moment I’m using Skin Ceuticals Physical Matte UV Defense (SPF 50).
On the days I need a little extra cover, I try to create a versatile look that can take me from our casual Khoollect office setting, to a meeting in central London, then out to dinner or another social event in the evening. I’ll use Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion foundation, Smashbox bronze lights compact bronzer, and a slick of Tom Ford cherry lush lipstick. It’s as simple as that.

Factor 50 every day? Even on dull days? One does need to expose bare skin to make Vitamin D, and take care not to wash it off for several hours . No Vit D can lead to big trouble eventually. Where I live it has not been needed except for about 4 days this year! I suppose it concerns how much UV gets through even on very dull days. That’s an unknown quantity for me, so far anyway.
Yep ladies, I def go for Caudalie instant foaming cleanser morning and night as well as the revolutionary Lotion P50W from Biologique Recherche which exfoliates and freshens up the skin at the same time. I’m an adopter of all day long factor 50 sunscreen, and I apply Eau Thermale Avene High Protection Tinted Compact SPF 50 daily. xx Eleonora

I’d love to know what eye make up you have been wearing on Zumbo’s Just Desserts. I saw the article that outlined the Bobby Brown products that your mua used but it didn’t mention the eye products. I am especially keen to find out what eye shadow/s were used.

Thanks for your comment. I can’t remember the exact Bobbi brown shades Lisa Soames used but she started with a natural eye shadow and then slightly darker shade in the socket plus a very subtle black eyeliner.
