As a mum of three, all under 6, daily routines are similar to Groundhog Day, so I turned our family hub ( the kitchen) into zones of different interest, including a zone for the kids art gallery. using fresh flowers and spray painting the 50’s brown wooden chairs in several colours makes it a very happy place indeed!
I love pinning fun and colourful postcards and prints to my windowless-office walls
I always put a colourful tablecloth on my table,
And flowers in my TV room
I love cooking and love having a full, colourful, exciting fridge of ingredients and beautiful things to serve them on. Then I can peek into my fridge whenever I need a boost of brightness, and peek into pretty much any kitchen cupboard to see the mis-matched coloured wares I’ve collected from around the world. And I can daydream about how I’ll put them together for my next meal
I love wearing something colourful to bring extra colour into my life. The more the unusual colour, the better! 🙂
A bright pair of socks
I love adding a bit of colour by wearing bright and patterned clothes!
A fresh bunch of flowers and wearing colourful accessories in my hair
By finding inspiration in nature for creativity ❤
My sister makes beautiful stained glass objects in her Dublin studio all day every day and lucky old me gets some of them for free (sister obligations 🙂 ) so I try and use as many of those around the house as the different colours let really beautiful lights and spectrums in – if it’s nighttime and there is no more sun 🙁 I use the stained glass candle holders that do just as good a job.
I like to add colour with bold nail colours and jewellery. I can enjoy them all day during the working week
I love the vivid colours of plants, and when I cook the colours of the food on the plate are as important to me as the taste.. so I add fresh green herbs, pink pomegranate seeds, bright feta or mozarella-or any other delicious fresh ingredients to brighten up a plate any time of the year.
I take daily photographs via the camera always at hand in my bag on a 20-minute walk to/from work: the brighter, more colourful scenes the better – bluest skies above, most brilliant neighbourhood flowers & the like.. Lx
Daily life is busy but getting outside once a day and appreciating all that surrounds brings colour, a mood lift and often a moment of peace and quiet.
I love to cut roses and hydrangeas from my own yard to bring inside. There is something so satisfying about seeing flowers you grow yourself in the house.
A bright lipstick everyday!
My lips are bold lips, every day! #redlips
Adding pops of colour where ever I can. Paint the kitchen table bright blue. Why not? Rainbow stripes are a must and colour clashes! Rainbow foods, green smoothies, beetroot, peppers the lot!
