London-based souvenir shop We Built This City is passionate about showing outsiders what the UK is made of. Featuring over 250 of the best crafters and makers of the UK in store, the store was named ‘Best Shop in Soho’ by Time Out London. As well as showcasing some outstanding products, the staff host creative workshops and live arts events. One event this month being held at 6.30-8.30pm on Tuesday 31 January is a Watercolour Portrait Painting with the talented illustrator Viktorija Semjonova of AndSmileStudio. She’ll teach you watercolour painting techniques in this two-hour class, so painting portraits becomes super easy.

I would love to do Audrey Hepburn’s portrait but who wouldn’t

I loved studying her portraits in History and really should have done a history of art degree!
Not sure she would be a good model though as I would have to use a portrait of her to paint my portrait!
Audrey Tautou as Amelie for a dramatic yet elegant style
I would like to paint David Attenborough. His endless travels to places across the planet keep me
longing to find out even more about the creatures with whom we share this earth.
I can never have these experiences first hand but maybe some of his delight and never ending quest for knowledge could be captured in his portrait.
