Pure soul food and one of the most comforting dishes we can think of, this chicken soup is delicately spiced and beautifully fragrant; and, all you need to make it is a kettle! This is the ultimate gift of love and the perfect remedy to winter, which serves two people.
This post has been created in partnership with Knorr.
Tip: add a sachet of miso paste to the stock for a delicious flavour variation.
Soup for the soul
To assemble the gift jar, spoon the chili pepper and shitake mushrooms into the base of the jar, tear the nori sheet into strips and place on top, followed by the noodles, remaining spices and wasabi peas. Carefully position the stock pot and soy sauce sachet on top and close the jar. Attach a gift tag and a recipe card with the following instructions.
Dissolve the chicken stock pot in 1 litre of boiling water and then pour over the jar, add any extra ingredient, close the jar and set aside for 10 minutes.
Give it a stir, add a dash of soy sauce and enjoy!
