Big Plans, Small Space Week Two: A Whole Lot of Rubble

***Rachel Khoo would like to thank all the inspiring people who helped make the Khoollect studio a hive of creativity. Although the Khoollect studio’s doors have now closed, you can keep up with Rachel’s newest adventures on RachelKhoo.com and on Rachel’s Instagram and Facebook pages – and, continue to enjoy the Khoollect website’s stories and recipes, which will remain available.***

For anyone who’s taken on a renovations project, you’ll know that the beginning is the fun part – the part where everything gets ripped out or smashed and every new day feels like something major has been achieved. For our transformation project, this really couldn’t be more true; it’s only week two and our beloved HQ is a shell of what it once was, (in a good way of course).

This visit, it was the kitchen’s turn to bite the dust, quite literally. Both chimneys in the front room are now no more than a pile of broken bricks, the cement mixers are in and most impressively, there’s a huge hole in the garden where the kitchen space is set to be extended.

For anyone who hasn’t read of Editor-in-Chief, Rachel Khoo’s, grand plans for Khoollect HQ it might look like a LOT of rubble, but for everyone else, you’ll be glad to know that things are right on track down to the epic speed of Simply Extend. They’ve made us want to take a long, hard look at how much we’re achieving in our own lives to be honest…

However, there’s still so much left to go until we’re in our dream space, so remember to follow along here and on our Instagram stories every Monday, to see the behind the scenes works. For those who can’t wait to see what we’re planning, take a look at our Pinterest board below to get your design inspiration fix.
