Khoollect visits: Sourced Market’s TAP room, Marylebone

On a cool London evening promising festive frivolity, the Khoollect team was recently joined by friends for an affair to celebrate the year that was. And, what better locale than Sourced Market’s TAP room to ensure drinks were topped and spirits were high?
At the party was one half of beer blogging duo Brewed, Crude & Bitter, Brad Gellert, who we’ve enlisted to share his thoughts on the new space. Here’s what he told us:
London’s West End can often prove challenging for craft beer enthusiasts looking to take home a quality brew. Decent bottle shops are few and far between, and often light on beers from local breweries. It should come as a relief then that the Marylebone-based Sourced Market offers both local beers to try in-store and take away.
Upstairs is still the same shop and restaurant with Sourced Market’s focus on quality, local and independent produce. However, down into the basement you’ll find the TAP room, which boasts a curated range of bottled beers, as well as eight craft beers and eight wines on tap.
The tap beers, from locals like The Kernel and Red Church and international breweries such as New Zealand’s 8wired, can be dispensed into refillable growlers and taken home. The beers on tap rotate regularly so you could bring home a growler full of Cloudwater one week and Howling Hops the next!
For those seeking an after-work beer in the West End, the knowledgable staff at Sourced Market will guide you.
