Good things come in small packages. These tiny loose-based mini loaf tins are great for making tasty cake bites such as these Afternoon Tea Loaves, which are perfect for a fancy afternoon tea.
Afternoon Tea Loaves
Make the cake batter using instructions for the Super Glam Party Cake. Grease the mini loaf tins with plenty of soft butter.
Divide the mixture between the mini loaf tins, about 2/3 full, as you don’t want the spilling over in the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
Beat the prosecco frosting in a bowl, adding a touch of water if it seems too thick. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
Ice the loaves and decorate with dried fruit, edible flowers or freeze-dried strawberries.
